The seller of an EWB-mandated item must ensure that the item is only handed over to the authorized recipient (§ 34 Abs. 1 WaffG). This can only be done for shipping by a legitimacy check of the authorized recipient by the contracted carrier. The seller must first inform themselves whether the shipment with the chosen company (AGB) is permissible. For the fulfillment of this firearms legal requirement, each seller is personally responsible.

Weapons can be shipped, for example, with Deutsche Post AG in an insured package. It is necessary to select the "personal receipt" option. The package must not be specially marked.
