Pictures play a big part in whether an item sells. You add them when listing under "List an item" and can edit them later under "My listings" as long as no bid has been placed.

Add pictures

Tap the selection field in the "Images" section and choose one or more files – on the phone, you can use the camera directly. The first image is free, each additional one costs a small fee; the exact prices are listed in the form.

Large images are available for an additional fee. If you do not check the Large Image box, the image will automatically be resized to the point where no additional costs are incurred.

Set the order

The first image is the main image – it appears in the search results and on the homepage. Hold an image and drag it to the desired position to change the order.

edit images

Tap the pencil icon ✎ on an image to open the image editor. There you can:

• crop – drag the desired section onto the image and confirm it
• rotate, if the image is sideways
• Adjust brightness if the photo is too dark.
• write or draw to point out details

All changes apply to the image in your listing; the file on your device remains unaffected.

What makes good item photos

• daylight and a quiet, bright background
• the entire item on the main image, details on the additional images
• signs of use are shown instead of hidden - this saves follow-up questions and disputes after the purchase
• Clear and legible labels, numbers, and inspection marks should be photographed

Animated images are converted into a still image when uploaded.
